In the 19th century, Henry Tacussel stood alongside Baron le Roy as one of the pioneers in establishing the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Fast forward to 1976, Annette Tacussel and her husband Robert Moulin founded the current estate, passing it down to their three daughters. Today, it is expertly managed by Didier Latour, the cellar master, who continues the legacy initiated by Henry and his son Albert Tacussel.

While the reputation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape remains firmly established, Domaine Moulin-Tacussel distinguishes itself by embracing environmentally friendly cultivation methods. Through this commitment, the estate not only preserves tradition but also enriches it, ensuring a sustainable and enduring legacy for generations to come.

Winemaker Notes on the 2017 vintage

Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017, excellent but rare…

Exceptional in many respects, the year 2017 produced climatic records which resulted in an early and unproductive vintage. Marking in more than one way, this vintage is no less excellent, balanced and rich in lovely velvety tannins.

"The Châteauneuf du Pape rouge 2017 is a blend of 7 grape varieties (grenache 60%, syrah 15%, mourvèdre 15% and cinsault, counoise, vaccarèse and muscardin), aged for 12 months, 50% in barrels and demi-muids and 50% in concrete vats. It presents notes of scrubland, white pepper, leather and very ripe red fruits. Elegant tannins, complexity, balance and good length characterize this vintage. Aging potential: 15 years or more."
