Characterized by cool, misty mornings and sun-drenched afternoons, the area is especially conducive to the growth of cool-climate grapes such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, thriving under the gentle coastal breezes. Beyond these renowned Burgundian varietals, Santa Barbara also excels in crafting exceptional Rhône-style wines like Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier, thanks to the warmth of its inland valleys. From the northern reaches of the Santa Maria Valley to the southern expanse of the Santa Ynez Valley, wineries across the region invite visitors to savor world-class wines amidst the breathtaking beauty of their surroundings, reflecting the dedication and artistry of their craft.

We are thrilled to announce Morgan Clendenen as our esteemed guest speaker for this event. With decades of invaluable experience in the wine industry, including her tenure at Au Bon Climat alongside Jim Clendenen, her role as founder and winemaker of Cold Heaven Cellars, and her pivotal contribution to popularizing Viognier in the California climate, Morgan brings a wealth of knowledge and insight. She will guide us through a tasting of eight traditional Santa Barbara wines, complemented by a delectable four-course meal expertly prepared by Chef Chris Marchand his culinary team.
