Tour de France Series

In many ways France is the center of the wine universe and because of that alone, it can be incredibly intimidating.  Let’s rip through that veil of mystery and dive into three beautiful and delicious regions around France.

We will work our way around the country starting in the Loire Valley, through Rhône Valley, and wrapping up in Burgundy to really give a sense of how diverse and approachable French wines can be. Light Appetizers will also be served.

#2 Rhône Valley

The Rhône Valley is a renowned wine region cherished for its rich history and diverse selection of exceptional wines. Divided into two distinct subregions—Northern Rhône and Southern Rhône—the area boasts an intricate tapestry of terroirs, microclimates, and grape varieties that contribute to its unparalleled depth and complexity. In the Northern Rhône, esteemed appellations like Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, and Cornas produce some of the world's most revered Syrah-based wines, distinguished by their bold flavors, structure, and aging potential. On the other hand, the Southern Rhône is celebrated for its sun-kissed vineyards, where iconic appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras craft luxurious blends led by Grenache, complemented by Mourvèdre, Syrah, and other traditional varietals.
